What is the difference between a DNA and a DNC grade? What is the last day to drop subjects with DNC?
DNA = Registered but Did Not Attend and did not officially withdraw or drop the subject; a DNA grade has a value of “0” (zero) for the calculation of the Grade Point Average (GPA). DNC = Did Not Complete; A DNC grade does not have a value. It is a safe way to drop a subject without harming your GPA. The last day to drop a subject is normally the 15th day of the 3rd month of the semester. (Example: November 15 for the Fall Semester, March 15 for the Winter Semester, July 15 for the Summer Semester). In the summer the last day to drop a 7-week subject with a DNC grade is the end of the 4th week of school. To drop a subject with DNC, you need to complete the yellow DNC form which you can find in front of the Registration office. Please complete it, and then bring it to your Student Advisor (Aniko Murtescu) in room C3006 for her signature.
