What is the difference between a department sponsored account and a primary e-mail account?
Accounts that are used by the department for special purposes (such as webmaster@lsu.edu) will be set up as an individual plan account.Your primary e-mail account is the one you use everyday at LSU to conduct business, receive e-mails directed to you, and to manage your individual calendar and address book. The sponsored e-mail account is for departmental e-mails and for departmental calendars. You may share the sponsored e-mail account with others in your department (both the e-mail and calendar entries). Be aware that e-mail quotas for sponsored accounts are 250M, where the e-mail quota for primary e-mail accounts is 1Gigabyte.
