What is the difference between a Delegate and a Designee?
Delegate another physician/prescriber A prescriber can delegate another registered and activated iPLEDGE prescriber to cover for him/her during a scheduled absence (travel, vacation, etc.). This also can be used to delegate to another registered and activated prescriber in a multiple doctor practice where a patient may see any of the doctors in the office. Delegate status has an expiration date that can be set by the delegating prescriber. Designee an office staff designee, a staff member in the prescribers office After the prescriber has registered and activated with iPLEDGE the office staff associated with the prescriber will be able to register as well. Each office staff designee will receive his/her own username and password. A prescriber may have one or more designated office staff. Prescribers must designate office staff separately.
