DC motor driven stage needs mechanically motorized motor. In this condition, there will be wear and backlash for fatigue loading, therefore the frequency can not be very high. On the other hand, the new product by MTI called linear motor driven stage has no wear and backlash effects for fatigue loading. The frequency will be higher.
