What is the difference between a credit and a course?
Each course consists of approximately 36 hours. Each 36-hour course has a value of 3 credits attached to it. Each of the 3 credit courses in the program are offered over one term. Courses may be offered at different times throughout the term. The timing of each course is determined by the instructor. For example, if a course is offered on Saturdays, sessions may be 6 hours in length for 6 Saturdays. If a course is offered on a weeknight, the time commitment may be 3 hours for 12 sessions. UPEI arts, science, or business courses may be offered during the day or evening and are usually 3 hours per week.
