What is the difference between a CRB application and ISA registration?
To register with the ISA you will need to have an enhanced CRB check. so there’s quite a lot of overlap. But there are benefits as well: • You will only have to register with the ISA once, whereas CRB checks expire and have to be repeated. • You will only have to register with the ISA once, whereas in the past CRB checks had to be carried out for each organisation you worked for. The Government is planning to look again at the requirement for CRB’s once ISA registration has come in.
