A. When a student drops a class, it is done within the Drop/Add period, which is during the first week of the class. When a class is dropped, it never appears on a student’s transcript. A withdrawal can be completed, in writing, through approximately the eighth week of the semester, and a grade of “W” will appear on the transcript. Consult the Academic Calendar for specific withdrawal dates for fall, spring and summer sessions.
