A CEU is a nationally recognized unit of measure. There is very little difference. Pursuant to the Board’s regulations at 244 CMR 5.00: Continuing Education, 1 Contact Hour is equal to 50 clock minutes. A nurse is required to earn 15 contact hours every two years due upon license renewal.
