What is the difference between a “concentration checklist” and a “Concentration Release”?
Often concentration advisors will work with a concentration checklist, which indicates what requirements you need to fulfill to complete the concentration. It allows you to keep track of what requirements you have met and which ones you still need to complete. The Concentration Release is information that concentration advisors submit to the senior auditors indicating which courses you still need in order to complete the concentration. They either send the information on a paper form or submit it via email, and this usually happens in the academic term before your expected graduation. It is one step of the procedure you follow in order to graduate, and you meet with a concentration advisor around the time you have submitted a Diploma Application.
