What is the difference between a “Completed”, “Sent” and Cleared On” status for my bill payment?
When you see a payment marked “Completed”, we have confirmed that the merchant received this payment electronically from us. You will need to work with your merchant to confirm that you have processed the payment and credited the payee account. When you see a payment marked as “Sent”, we have confirmed that we have mailed a physical check to the merchant on your behalf. Once this check has cleared, the status will change to show a “Cleared On” date. You should allow for appropriate time for the payment to be received via the mail and processed by your payee.
