What is the difference between a Community Improvement District and a Transportation Development District?
While both collect and administer taxes for their respective district, Transportation Development Districts are created to provide capital for public works projects such as roads, bridges and transportation systems. Community Improvement Districts raise taxes for virtually any capital improvement.
