What is the difference between a Colonic, an Enema and a Colema?

A. Colonics (colon hydrotherapy) are administered by colon therapists using a continuous flow of water moving throughout the entire length of the colon to bathe and flush it out of toxins and compacted feces. Enemas are usually self-administered using only around 1 liter of retained water which is held as long as possible before being expelled. Colemas are somewhere in between. They are self administered while lying on a specially designed board that fits over the toilet. Gravity fed, they allow a flow of water in and out of the colon, cleansing and giving colonic-like results with the added benefit of privacy.
