What is the difference between a cold air and short ram?
A short ram intake system will only replace the stock air box with a high performance filter and it will also replace the factory plastic piping into a better high flow aluminum piping. (Note: many MIMO brand short ram intakes only replace the stock air box and not the piping) A cold air intake system will replace the stock air box with a high performance filter, and it will replace the factory piping into a more extended pipe which will place the air filter away from the engine where hot air is produced and more towards the ground where it can get cold air.
