A CEU is a Continuing Education Unit; a CEH is a Continuing Education Hour. Although the terms CEU and CEH are often used interchangeably in advertising, licensing agencies require Continuing Education courses (CE) to be measured in CEHs. A CEH identifies the total number of hours it takes to complete a CE course, and can also be referred to as a Contact Hour. At Women and Addiction Continuing Education Services (WACES), our classes are measured in CEHs. The number of CEHs earned is listed on your Certificate of Completion, as mandated by the licensing/certification boards.
