What is the difference between a casting company and a talent agency?

0

MovieWork Now Casting is a Casting Company and not a Talent Agency. The biggest difference is we represent production companies and assist them in finding the exact talent they need for their project. We do not represent talent nor take commissions from talent. Talent are not exclusive with us who work on our projects. There are no license requirements for a casting company, such as us, other than a normal business license. On the other hand, a Talent Agency, represents actors and models. They are required to be licensed by the Industrial Commission of Arizona and do take commissions on jobs their actors work on. If you are signed by a licensed agent, then you are exclusive to that agent and cannot work with another agent in town. Most agents prefer that you have a lot of experience in order to be signed by them. Regardless of being represented by an agent or working through a casting company there are no guarantees of work.
