Most travel ‘blogging’ sites really offer you the option of keeping a travel diary, rather than a blog. The design and all the navigation is for the main site, and you will just be adding your entries within that with no flexibility to change it. Leaving a comment is either not possible, or tied to becoming a member of the site in question. You usually won’t have your own URL, or any way to control settings for the diary or tie it in with third-party systems. A good travel blogging site will let you easily include maps, photos and video to your entries.
