What is the difference between a birth injury and a birth defect?
A birth injury is generally caused by something that doesn’t go according to plan during the delivery process. Birth defects are generally due to something that happened before or during the pregnancy. Many birth defects are genetic which means there was no way a doctor could have prevented the defect. A birth injury can be prevented through good planning and attentive doctors.
