What is the difference between a BA and a BSc?
Students wishing to study for a BSc need science-based ‘A’ levels (e.g. Maths, Chemistry, Physics) in addition to Geography. During the qualifying year, students taking the BSc degree are taught in different tutorial groups, attend a different fieldclass and are expected to take science-based modules from outside the department. In Parts 1 and 2, BSc students are expected to follow a Physical Geography pathway while BA students are expected to follow Human Geography pathways. However, students can take any course offered in Geography as long as they have a suitable background.
