What is the difference between a B-1 and a WB visitor?

The B-1Visitor for Business classification requires a B-1/B-2 visa in the visitor’s passport. A B-1 visitor may be eligible for up to 6 months in the U.S. and apply for extension. The WB is a Waiver for Business classification only for visitors from countries which participate in the Visa Waiver Program. No visa in the passport is required. The visit is limited to 90 days or less and no extension or change of status is allowed. See U.S. State Department information at http://travel.state.gov/.
