The four piece place setting, or enough flatware for one diner, consist of a fork, salad fork, teaspoon and knife. The five piece place setting consist of the same pieces with an oval soup spoon added. The oval soup spoon is also used for dessert and as a small server. This is the same in the place size and dinner size place settings.
