What is the difference between a 2 way and a 3 way speaker?

Two way speakers will be installed exactly the same as three way. The only difference is the number of speakers on the speaker, if that makes sense. A two way speaker will have the regular cone with a smaller tweeter in the middle. A three way will have the regular cone with a smaller tweeter and then an even smaller tweeter. The reason for this is that it’s difficult for just one speaker to reproduce such a wide range of frequencies, so somebody decided to make two ways and three ways so that your speakers can reproduce sound more clearly at higher volumes.
