While SIPRelay calls are always free for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals, hearing callers may be charged long distance when dialing a local number. If you have hearing friends and relatives that live out of state, or out of your area code, you might want to also request a toll-free number. There are no long-distance charges when a hearing caller dials a toll-free number.
