What is the difference between a 1-piece design and a two-piece design?
Most front floor mats are made with a two-piece design. However, there are some Trucks, SUVs, and a few cars that can use a front floor mat with a 1-piece design. Most rear floor mats for Trucks, SUVs and Mini-Vans come in a one-piece design. Neither the 1-piece nor 2-piece design is better than the other. Many of today’s cars have a center console that prevents using a 1-piece design in the front. Some drivers may prefer to use a 1-piece design in front if possible for slightly increased carpet coverage.
