What is the difference between 1D and 2D barcodes?
1D barcode is short for one dimensional barcode. It is a method of storing information encoded is a single row using horizontal width. This information can be ready by machines and sometime contains a row of human readable text. The shortcoming of this technology is as more data is encoded, the bar gets wider, making it harder to read by some machines.
