What is the differance between throat infection and hyperemia?
Hyperemia which is an increase in blood flow to an area may be part of or associated with a throat infection. It can be seen by the examining doctor and is noted as a sign of infection in his/her findings. Redness due to blood flow is always part of infection or inflammation. It is part of the bodies natural response to infection or inflammation.
