Charter trips are tippically run in the ocean, bays and lower tide waters of coastal areas. These trips are on larger boats from 30 to 50 feet in length that can accommodate from 6 to 20 persons. Guide trips are run in smaller boats. The size depends on the type of trip. Drift boat trips are run in 16 to 20 foot non motorized boats. Jet sled power boat trips are run in 24 to 26 foot boats.
