What is the diff between mountains and hills?
Mountains are higher. In the UK a hill is considered to be a mountain when it’s over 3000 ft. I live at 1830 feet, and the area is considered to be the ‘low land.’ Of course, where I live, mountains have an advantage. They start off higher than the those mere hills in the UK . Mountains are not necessarily steeper than hills. Chris Bonnington trained for his ascent of Everest in the English Lake District.
