What is the derivation of the name Bobbie Project?
A. The name came about from a Bloodhound that worked for the Worcester County Sheriffs Department. Bobbie was diagnosed with Lymphoma but continued to work through her chemotherapy treatments for 1.5yrs. 4 days before Bobbie died she did a track to find a elderly gentleman with alzhiemers disease who had wandered off. It was approximately 2 months after she died that we learned that due to the huge expense of her treatment the policy was sent down that no other dog on the department would be able to have an expensive procedure done if needed. Hence Bobbie inspired us to make a difference. No highly trained K-9 should ever be denied medical treatment due to lack of funds.
