What is the deployment schedule?
• Starting in September 2008, 7th graders at middle schools will start to receive their student laptops. The rollout will be staggered to ensure a quality deployment. The first school will receive laptops in September, and the last school will receive laptops in March. Laptops will remain at school until students earn their “Driver’s License,” which will allow home use. Students will receive training in acceptable use, troubleshooting, laptop care, and Internet safety as part of their Driver’s Licenses.
