What is the Denver Theatre District?
The Denver Theatre District (DTD) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization designed to enhance downtown Denver through public art investment, and City and regional promotions. The DTD operates as an entertainment destination, supporting performing and visual arts, while encouraging a pedestrian-friendly environment. The district was created to bring renewed energy to what has long been one of Denver’s most exciting neighborhoods by creating a well-lit, welcoming and inviting urban environment. Local, regional and national companies support and promote the district through lively events, cultural promotions and enhanced lighting and signage. The Denver Theatre District extends from the 16th Street Mall and Arapahoe Street to Speer Boulevard; Speer Boulevard to Welton Street; Welton Street to 14th Street; 14th Street to Champa Street; Champa Street to the 16th Street Mall.
