What is The Denver Lyric Opera Guild?
The Denver Lyric Opera Guild (DLOG) is the oldest opera support group in Colorado. The DLOG is not affiliated with a specific company. The Guild has an independent voice which ascends above and beyond traditional expectations. Seeking to appreciate and promote this culturally renowned expression, the Denver Lyric Opera Guild performs its mission by engaging in educational affairs, opera company attendance and extensive monetary support of rising vocal talent through university scholarships, opera company apprentice programs and our annual competition. The Denver Lyric Opera Guild was founded in 1965 by Helen Burns and a group of dedicated women to help support the local theater, which later became the Denver Lyric Opera Company.
