What is the delegation agreement process?
• Submission of a completed delegation agreement(s) and appropriate fee mailed to the address indicated on the top of the delegation agreement application by the specified deadline date. (P.O. Box 37217, Baltimore, MD 21297). Mailing the delegation agreement application to any other address, will delay the processing of the delegation agreement. • Staff will review delegation agreements for completeness and notify PAs/SPs if anything is missing. • Completed delegation agreements are presented to the Physician Assistant Advisory Committee (PAAC) on the first Wednesday of the month. • Delegation agreements recommended for approval to the Board by the PAAC are presented to the Board at its next scheduled meeting after the PAAC. • Upon Board approval, staff will mail approval letters to PAs/SPs. PAs may only practice upon receipt of the approval letter.
