What is the definition of wilderness and semi-wilderness? To what extent are they different?
When the Safety Guidelines were written, specific definitions to “wilderness”, “semi wilderness”, and “remote locations” were not provided. The Safety Guidelines focus on the degree to which the teacher and other trip supervisors can access help in an emergency situation and the degree of difficulty inherent in the site.
