What is the definition of the “Mass” and “Prestige” sub-categories?
The Mass and Prestige sub-categories are defined in terms of price point and distribution. Entries in the Mass category are considered products that have launched in a distribution outlet that is a mass, food or drug retailer. Examples of this type of distribution include, but not limited to: Drug stores, mass merchandisers, warehouse centers, pharmacy chains, etc. Entries in the Prestige category are considered products that have launched in a distribution outlet that is NOT a mass, food or drug retailer. Examples of this type of distribution include, but not limited to: Department Stores, Spas, Salons, Specialty Stores and Television, etc.
