What is the definition of cruelty and neglect to animals?

0

Cruelty: The crime of inflicting physical pain, suffering or death on an animal, usually a tame one, beyond necessity for normal discipline. It can include neglect that is so monstrous (withholding food and water) that the animal has suffered, died or been put in imminent danger of death. Neglect: is not easily defined because it can take different forms from blatant cruelty to subtle unintentional indifference. It can even be ignoring someone else’s cruel acts. Once we are aware of abuse to any living being, it is our moral duty to speak up, even if it’s done anonymously. Many people believe neglect is the act leaving any dog to spend it’s life in a dog house or outside. Dogs are social, pack animals and are never meant to be tied or put outside to live. So many dogs die in this country every day, tied to their dog houses or tied up with no shelter at all. They suffer heat stroke, freeze to death, starve to death, die of thirst, illnesses, injuries and loneliness. Many never see a vet
