The partners contribute “unique strengths and shared responsibilities to enhance understanding of a given phenomenon and the social and cultural dynamic of the community, and integrate the knowledge gained with action to improve the health and well-being of community members.” (B. What is the definition of cancer control research? “Cancer control research is the conduct of basic and applied research in the behavioral, social, and population sciences that, independently, or in combination with biomedical approaches, reduces cancer risks, incidence, morbidity, and mortality and improves quality-of-life.” (B.
