What Is the Definition of an Analog Multimeter?
Although digital multimeters (DMM) have all but taken over the technician’s bench, several makes of analog multimeters are still available in 2009. Their simplicity, lack of radio-frequency interference, and naturally damped meter movement make them a good choice for some applications. Also, some technicians simply prefer the mechanical movement to a digital display for taking measurements.
