What is the definition of a secondary Tech Prep student?
A student that is enrolled in one or more of the courses per the written Tech Prep program agreement are considered enrolled Tech Prep students. However, this agreement may delineate the enrollment procedures, which would become the operational definition of a Tech Prep student for that program. For example, if a Business Tech Prep program includes a keyboarding course that is also a requirement for all students, the number of students enrolled in Tech Prep would be the number of students enrolled in the keyboarding class for the year. This may lead to an unrealistic number of students enrolled in the Tech Prep program. If the definition is delineated within the Tech Prep agreement, only students taking the keyboarding class who are also taking another course in the sequence would be counted.
