What is the default search in the catalog?
The default search in the catalog is a keyword search within any field. The default search will appear as “words or phrase” in the dropdown menu. It is important to note that these words must all appear in any given field (i.e., author, title, subject, etc.). If you enter a single word, the catalog will find records with that word in any field If you enter more than one word, the catalog will find records with all the words if they all appear in the same field.
