What is the default password for Phoenix bios on Dell computers?

There is no default password. What happens is this: on your Dell or many other laptops that use Phoenix BIOS, the BIOS password is stored on the motherboard. After entering 3 incorrect passwords you will get a "system disabled"- "system halted" type message. Along with this message will be a 5 digit error code, this code is really a kind of encrypted password. Using the error code a "master password" can be generated that will unlock all passwords (system/admin/user) on that machine only, not a default for any laptop. This is true for many different brands of laptops using Phoenix BIOS. Other brands work similar although with a 8 10 16 up to 20 digit error codes depending on the BIOS. Most Dell’s use the service tag, which you will see after 3 password attempts something like #1234567-595B using this number a BIOS password can be generated. Hope this clears it up a little.

Try the password Dell. That us usually the password set by the manufacturer. You could also reset your password. ChaCha!
