For most Edimax routers, the default IP address is 192.168.2.1, default username is admin and password is 1234. By default the router is a DHCP server which will assign IP address starting from 192.168.2.100 to 192.168.2.199 to DHCP clients automatically. Make sure your computer has TCP/IP Protocol setup as “Obtain IP address automatically”.Open the Internet Explorer. Type in http://192.168.2.1 hit Enter. The Login window will appear. Type in the default username admin, password 1234. Click on Login. Then you can configure the router.
