What is the Decriminalized Affidavit Option for License Suspended w/o Knowledge?

0

A decriminalized affidavit allows the defendant to complete and sign an affidavit pleading “no contest” to the charge. The defendant must show valid proof and can only elect this option three (3) times in a lifetime. If your driver license was not valid at the time the citation was issued, you must renew/reinstate your license. You may enter a plea of No Contest, sign a notarized affidavit and pay the associated fees. A copy of your valid driver license must be submitted with your payment and affidavit at a courthouse location or through the mail.
