What is the DECevent license used for and why is it issued on a yearly basis?
The Product Authorization Key (PAK) license is required in order to utilize the DECevent analysis and notification capabilities. Regular Bit to Text (BTT) translation does not require the license. The analysis and notification capabilities enable Digital to more efficiently provide service to our customers. The license is issued on annual basis to customers with equipment which has hardware warranty, a hardware service contract or service obligation agreement, to ensure that customers are provided with a premium service capability during the term of the agreements.
