What is the deal with the H201 “Foundation year” course?
In fact “foundation year” is a slightly misleading way to think about this course. In fact it is best to think of it as a conversion year. The course is designed for applicants of high ability but without a recent Maths and Physics background. For applicants taking A-Levels we are looking for grades of at least BCC. The first year of the course covers the skills necessary to undertake what is effectively a BEng in Civil Engineering in the 2nd and subsequent years.
