What is the deadline to apply?
Applications to MIT for September 2009 must be submitted on line by December 15, 2008 (the MIT on-line system shuts down at midnight on December 16). Applications through Harvard SEAS are strongly requested by the SEAS preferred deadline of December 15, but will be accepted until January 2 (i.e., copies of SEAS applications must reach HST by January 2). Applications through Harvard Biophysics are due at HST by December 15. All supporting documents (letters, transcripts, and test scores) must be received no later than December 19, 2008. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
SAS works on a rolling-admissions basis, meaning that applications are evaluated as they are received. Thus, it is to your advantage to apply early. We will continue to process applications while there are still openings in a program, though many programs may be filled by late spring. There is no official deadline. Quebec students can apply through SRAM, whose Round 1 deadline is March 1. The McGill application remains open after this date. Keep in mind that after you apply, we must receive all of your supporting documents before we can reach a decision on your application. In order to have enough time to obtain the necessary travel documents, International students are advised to apply before February 1.
