What is the deadline for submitting an obituary?
An obituary should be submitted by 5 p.m. This ensures proof service (the opportunity to review a proof with charges). If verification is required, the obituary should be submitted as early as possible, but no later than 4 p.m. the day before the obituary is to run. Obituaries can be e-mailed to obituaries@wsjournal.com; or, if e-mail is not available, they may be faxed to the Obituary Desk at (336) 727-7300. Billing information (name, mailing address and phone number) should be submitted with the obituary.
