The deadline for filing reimbursement claims for expenses incurred during the plan year (July 1 to June 30) is October 15 of any year. Due to a change in IRS regulations regarding flexible spending accounts, you may file for reimbursement for expenses incurred up to September 15 of each year using funds that are deducted in either the previous plan year ending June 30 or the new plan year that begins on July 1.
