What is the deadline for applying?
Graduate students are admitted starting in the fall term. The deadline for admission in the fall term, 2007, is December 15, 2006. There is no way to apply starting in the spring term, although once a student is admitted it is sometimes possible to delay admission for a year or possibly less, with permission from the Dean of the Graduate School.

What are the transfer policies? For all course transfers, the coursework must be related to the IAKM degree, be no more than 6 years old by the time the student graduates with the MS in IAKM, and the student must have earned a “B” (3.0) or better in the coursework. All transfers are approved by the Program Director. All total transfers (between completed degrees, non-degree coursework and such) are limited to 12 credit hours. If you are transferring from another program at Kent State University , any course listed as a part of the IAKM curriculum will count toward the IAKM degree. The deadline for international artists is October 24, 2008. The deadline for US artists is November 7, 2008. To be considered for a showcase, you must complete your application and, if applying through the sxsw.com website, upload your music and press materials by the appropriate deadline. We strongly recommend you complete your application and upload materials sooner rather than later. SXSW accepts music and associated materials only electronically. Do not mail SXSW any CDs or printed materials.
