What is the deadline for admission?
For domestic students, there is no deadline for admission. However, many departments do have deadlines, especially for financial assistance. Therefore, you should apply at least nine months prior to the desired term of entry. For international students, see the dates and deadlines section of our website. Back to Top.
For students applying from overseas, the application deadlines are June 1 for the Fall Semester (beginning August/September) and October 1 for the Spring Semester (beginning January), to allow sufficient time for visa and application processing. If applying from within the U.S. or Canada, applications must be submitted by August 1 (Fall Semester) or December 1 (Spring Semester). The priority deadline for applications to the Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA) is January 15. International students are not admitted to the Summer Term. If applicants are unable to meet these deadlines, please contact the Office of International Programs to determine if an extension is possible.
