What is the DCS?

0

The Document Control System (DCS) is the on-line library and access point for all company documents. The system ensures that only the current up-to-date version of any document is available for all employees at any given moment. The DCS is the golf caddy that ensures all the clubs are present, clean and ready for use, but it’s up to the golfer to pick and choose the proper clubs to be used during the course of the game. Currently the only access point to the documents are via a web based application. In the near future, we will begin granting access to other modules of the software that control and address data pertaining to: Audits, Corrective Action, Calibration Control and Customer Satisfaction/Dissatisfaction. Remember … the DCS is ONLY a document control aid, the actual tool for determining the proper documents to use is the PMT and/or the VSE Quality Manual. DCS documents are updated ONLY on the 15th and 30/31st of each month.
